Artist Ivo IVO
Born in Kustendil, Bulgaria in 1963, Ivo studied mural and monumental painting at the Nicolai Pavlovich Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. Emigrating to Canada via Newfoundland in 1990, Ivo continues to create spontaneous works of art inspired by the relationship between the outer presence and the inner life of his paintings. “Every painting is an entrance into myself,” claims Ivo. “A painting is always the opening to the unknown.”
Ivo has been commissioned to create splendid murals across Japan, Canada, Bermuda and the United States. His works are internationally admired in private collections around the world, and he regularly exhibits his paintings in high profile public spaces.
